Outdoor Iron Chandeliers

Why would anybody install a chandelier outdoor? Why not? Using chandelier lighting for a terrace or a similar open space can give the place a select elegance, while being also useful. Outdoor iron chandeliers are built a little bit different from the regular chandeliers, meaning that they are more solid, waterproof, made to resist bad weather conditions. As I was looking to redecorate my terrace, the idea of an iron chandelier for the outdoor lighting came by itself, as we are all in love with such lights which remind us of old movies. This was a struggle, because my wife wanted so much the traditional / classic iron chandelier from the Acropolis Collection. I thought that had the glass too fragile to be kept on the terrace, although the manufacturer reassured us that it is unbreakable. Other two good choices would have been the Almeria and the Zen Garden collections. We discussed the lighting issue for about two weeks, so there's no wonder we are way behind the schedule with our renovation.
But our iron chandeliers are gorgeous. I can't wait to see them lit.

Why Iron Chandeliers?

First of all, let me tell you that not all homes are suitable for iron chandeliers, or for chandeliers at all. If your rooms have lower ceilings, installing an iron chandelier would make you need to watch your head each time you pass by it. If the ceilings are at an appropriate height, you need to consider the overall arrangement and decorations: if you are the modern type, then iron chandeliers would look like separate pieces and they would not integrate in the general landscape of your interior design. Not even the most beautiful Antler chandelier would match this setting, so you always have to take into consideration the overall picture before deciding to go for chandelier lighting for your house.

Modern Iron Chandeliers

The modern style gave up the curves and focused rather on straight lines, simple elegance, more like the Buddhist Zen philosophy. Interiors tend to be very simple, with barely any decorations, with very few furniture. Definitely, classical iron chandeliers don't have a place in this minimalist setting, but there are a few models which comply and give the place a note of distinctiveness.
